Our COVID-19 protective screens offer a high quality and durable solution to facilitate safe working in line with the UK government’s Guidance on Working Safely.

The screens reduce the risk of transmitting infection while serving customers or communicating with colleagues.

Our protective screens have a fully welded frame which can be manufactured to bespoke sizes to fit any desk, workspace or countertop.

The frame is fitted with a clear perspex acrylic screen (3mm, 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, etc.) and the whole unit is freestanding for maximum stability without the need for any fixings.

Our screens can be easily moved for cleaning of work surfaces and flexible use.

We are able to offer a range of options (details below) as well as bespoke protective screens and barriers manufactured to individual requirements.

In light of recent weather events such as Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, it is vital that local authorities and businesses are prepared for flooding incidents now and in the future.

The scissor-like design of our sandbag filler means DIY self-assembly is not required – each bagging unit is supplied ready to use. Simply pull open the legs of the filler and it’s ready to go.

The sandbag filler comes with a 40cm filling cone making it easy to use with both hessian and polypropylene sandbags.

It’s also portable and folds away easily for compact storage.

The sandbag filler can also be used for a range of other industrial, commercial and environmental applications.

• Pipework

We fabricate and weld pipework for a range of commercial and industrial applications.

• Mild and Stainless Steel Bollards

We were recently asked to manufacture a 1 metre base-plated bollard with a custom reinforced base as pictured.

It was fabricated from mild steel square box section and welded to the ASME IX standard.

All of our bollards are manufactured bespoke to our customers’ specifications to a range of heights and diameters.

• Steel Ramps 

Our latest ramp project involved refurbishing and reinforcing an existing ramp which required strengthening.

We also manufacture a variety of ramps from small foot ramps for domestic use to large heavy duty industrial ramps for vehicles, machinery, and factory equipment.

The lovely artwork on the metal arch was created by ceramic artist Lydia Hardwick.

She worked with a number of young people from the area and used their ideas to bring the archway to life for the garden.

The arch is decorated with ceramic pieces which have been collaged in stained clay. The resulting pattern draws on surface design from the 1950s – the time when the Mendip Estate was built.

The archway was commissioned as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded, Young Roots Project.

This community project runs events and activities including arts, crafts, cookery, gardening, and nature conservation so that adults and young people can discover the history of Mendip Wildlife Community Garden.

The project was delivered by the Metal organisation and led by the alternative education group, Epic Quest Centre.

These fully welded, high quality workbenches are designed for use with heavy loads in commercial and industrial premises.

We have made our regular mild steel units available to purchase securely online via PayPal on our E-bay shop.

Recently we were pleased to install the staircase pictured for Bar Mio, a popular family-run wine bar in Ainsdale, Merseyside.

The staircase was installed as part of a complete refurbishment of Bar Mio’s first floor bar area.

Lewis & Raby worked alongside Bar Mio to develop an eye-catching design for the spindles and bannisters, before manufacturing the staircase from mild steel.

We rounded off the staircase in a sleek black painted finish and the stairs were installed on site by our experienced engineering team.

The manager of Bar Mio, Stefano Cardillo, said:

“We are thrilled with our unique design and the staircase which the team created is the highlight of our refurbishment. The team were amazing – professional and committed to quality workmanship. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Lewis & Raby.”
